Meet the owners

Dave Auge’s journey in the automotive industry began in 1971, washing cars at a local Chevy dealership in Illinois. After relocating to Wyoming with his family in 1973, he attended

the University of Wyoming, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 1977. That same year, he began his full-time career at Teton Motors, working in the Business Office. In 1990, following his father’s retirement, he became President of Teton Motors, welcoming his brother, Jim, into the business in 1991. 

Beyond the dealership, Dave has been deeply involved in the Jackson community. A dedicated member of the Kiwanis Club since 1981, he now serves as its President, passionately upholding the Kiwanis motto—“Serving the Children of the World.” He is an avid adventurer and has traveled extensively, visiting Morocco, Australia, New Zealand, Panama, Costa Rica, the Galápagos Islands, and Peru. He also thrives on physical challenges, enjoying trail running, fishing, hiking, skiing, golf, boating, and has summited the Grand Teton twice!

His passion for family, adventure, and community is the foundation of his

leadership at Teton Motors, where he continues to serve with enthusiasm and dedication.

Jim Auge is the Vice President of Teton Motors. Committed to both the business and the community, Jim and his wife, Carolyn, are actively involved in Rotary, 4-H, and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, while also enjoying the many outdoor activities the region has to offer. 

Jim is deeply engaged in community service, currently serving on the Boards of Teton Youth and Family Services, St. John’s Hospital Foundation, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming. His past

service includes involvement with the Community Safety Network, Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, Community Foundation Grants Committee, Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, Wyoming Automobile Dealers Association, and the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole.

A Rotarian since 1991, Jim served as Club President in 2005, continuing his long-standing dedication to service and leadership in the Jackson Hole community.

The Auge family holds a unique distinction in Jackson Hole as the only local family to have a father (Earle) and two sons (Dave and Jim) all serve as Board Chair of the Jackson Hole

Chamber of Commerce. The same distinction applies to the Wyoming Automobile Dealers Association. Additionally, all three were honored as Wyoming’s Time Quality Dealer, with Earle receiving the award in 1991, Dave in 2005, and Jim in 2015.
