From the very beginning, community has been at the heart of Teton Motors. Our father, Earle Auge, set the example for what it means to integrate, contribute, and truly connect with Jackson Hole. Moving here in the 1970s from a big city, he immediately embraced this small, tight-knit community, serving as President of the Rotary Club, President of the Chamber of Commerce, and even directing local musical events. His passion for giving back became the foundation of who we are and what we do today.
Following in his footsteps, Jim and Dave continue this commitment, actively supporting organizations like the Grand Teton Music Festival, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, the Senior Center, Community Safety Network, and Teton Youth and Family Services. Jackson may have grown over the years, but it remains a close-knit town where connection matters— and we believe in showing up, putting in the effort, and being part of something bigger. As Dave puts it, “Connection is important. There are different ways to connect—showing up, putting yourself out there, integrating yourself in the community. Donating time and effort creates real connections over time. People are here to help people. That’s what we’ve tried to do with the business and our personal time.”
Building for the Future
Jackson’s housing crisis makes it challenging for employees to live and work in the community they serve. Every time Teton Motors has expanded, we’ve made it a priority to add housing for employees, helping them stay in the town they love. With a waiting list of employees wanting to live on-site, we see this as a way to not just run a business, but strengthen the local workforce.
Deeply Involved in Local Events
Whether it’s announcing parades, supporting fundraising efforts, or contributing to community programs, Teton Motors is always present. Jim is a perennial parade announcer for events like the Old West Days Parade in May, the Fourth of July Parade, and Old Bill’s Fun Run, one of the most impactful community-driven fundraising events in Jackson Hole.
We’re also proud to be part of:
• Teton Safety Network
• Golf events benefiting local nonprofits
• Teton Youth & Family Services
• Kiwanis Car Seat Program, ensuring safety for local families
At Teton Motors, community is more than just a word—it’s our way of life. From our family’s
legacy to our ongoing commitment today, we remain dedicated to supporting, uplifting, and
strengthening Jackson Hole—just as our father taught us.
